My research focuses on the genetics of animal robustness in relation to trade-offs between production traits and health traits. My main application concerns the experimental study of sheep resistance to gastro-intestinal parasites. I also develop mathematical models of resource allocation to quantify trade-offs, predict individual variability at the herd scale and promote the design of agroecological farming systems.
